Express Bootcamp

4 Week Express Bootcamp

- Starts Monday 28th September

2 Sessions per week on Mondays & Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Each session is for 40-45 minutes
Session Structure is start with a challenging workout that will have you competing against yourself.  Then finish up with a deep stretch session.

Cost to be involved is $110, includes all bootcamp sessions
Optional additional services available are to have your weight, body composition and centimetre measures taken for $15.

If you are looking for that little something to ignite your training, this is the bootcamp for you.  We will be starting after daylight saving changes and will hold the sessions outdoors around Hamilton.  The location will change some weeks but all within close proximity to the Hamilton Lake.

Pregnancy Exercise

If you are pregnant and wanting to exercise safely during your pregnancy look no further!  I am the only certified pregnancy personal trainer in the Waikato. 

If you are wondering what this means, first a trainer needs to have their exercise qualifications.....be careful as just because someone calls themselves a personal trainer may not mean they have the qualification to back it up (don't be afraid to ask, however any qualified trainer will have their qualifications visible).  Pregnancy then changes the ball game, there are many hormones that are floating around in your body that change the way in which your mechanics operate, if the trainer is not aware of these and modifies the ways in which they train you it can create further problems for you.  Many people experience aches and pains during pregnancy and having a trainer who is pregnancy certified can help manage and prevent future ones developing. 

Pregnancy exercise also needs to be safe for both mother and baby.  There are certain exercises which are fine for most in the early weeks of pregnancy but however need to be removed at later stages despite whether the mother can still "perform" them as such.  It's not always what you see or feel on the outside but what those exercises are doing to your little one on the inside and if that is affecting their growth, blood supply or stress. 

Each person should have an exercise programme designed specifically for them and pregnancy is the same.  What one person does/can do in a pregnancy is not what is always advisable for another.  Having a trainer take your full history into account and creating a programme that is designed for your goals of exercise throughout your pregnancy while keeping you safe is what needs to be your number one priority when choosing a trainer.

It doesn't stop at birth either, I can work with you postnatally to get you back into your exercise safely while again working with any weaknesses, imbalances, and addressing pelvic floor health and correcting abdominal separation if you have any.  This also takes into account the stage at which you are ready to get back into exercise and for those breastfeeding to not hinder this process.

New Year Bootcamp, 6 weeks for only $150

Did you make a new years resolution last year to get in shape but didn't get around to it?  Join me in 2015 as we start the year with a Bridal Bootcamp challenge.  This challenge was successful last year but for this final one I will open it to anyone and not only brides.  So if you would like to enjoy the workouts that the past clients have register your interest now. 

These group challenges will be held on Monday and Wednesdays at 5:30pm, and aiming to take advantage of the nice weather and have outdoor sessions.  This Bridal Bootcamp is only held in Hamilton. 

We will be starting with our first workout on Monday 12th January. 

The original aim of the Bridal Bootcamp was to provide something low cost for brides as (I've learnt) anything that hints at being for a wedding gets an automatic price hike!  The challenge is a 6 week programme and is only $150 for the 6 weeks.  So that's 12 training sessions in total, plus it also involves a full body composition analysis so you can track how you did over the time.

I have completed further qualifications and now have my certificate in: Exercise for Pregnancy.  So this means that you can rest assured that I will have the health of you and baby as our highest priority when talking training during pregnancy.  There are considerations and adaptions that need to take place when exercising through a pregnancy and with my knowledge this will happen for you at the appropriate stages.
 
There are many benefits to exercising while pregnant but it must be done so safely.  With me this is what you get.
